Points of light shimmer through each delicately painted line, radiance emerging through intentional omission.

Holding Light Studies

From time to time I sit down and create studies for future Holding Light grids, some realized in full scale, some not—and when I am commissioned to create a Holding Light piece I will create multiple studies. They may include notes for color formulas or other specific details for the actual production of the piece. I find the small scale along with the slight warp of the paper from the watercolor intriguing—the grids weaving together, almost like a tapestry.
